United We Stand

In times of strife we must always remember that we are stronger together than apart. What happened on January 6, 2021 has wounded the heart of humanity in so many ways. While what happened was truly horrific let us not forget it is through those horrific times in history that we have found our ground.

So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is…fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and of vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. And I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.

It is at those times when we are at our best in showing compassion, empathy and understanding. This is the time for all of us to think about that which we value most and never lose sight of it and what it means to be part of humanity. We are a part of a global community and our humanity is stronger when we stand together. United we stand in unity, in equality, in honor, in integrity, in understanding and in compassion, but most importantly in peace. Let us not let the dark shadows of hate and intolerance stand. Let us come together in saying this will never again happen and we shall never forget.

Here is something to show that we’ll get through this dark moment together.
