Dances With Films unrolled with a steady stream of talented filmmakers and cast members making their way down the green carpet at the Loews Hollywood Hotel. Executive Producer/Actress Magen Mattox with Guillaume Campanacci (director, producer, actor) of the feature film “Devils in Disguise” are among the attendees. Their story focuses on two roommates Leila (played by Magen Mattox) and Sandy (played by Montanna Gillis) who devise a plan to kill Leila’s sadistic boyfriend (played by Guillaume Campanacci). “I was super interested in the story. I loved the script when I read it,” said Megan Mattox, who executive produced the film.
When asked how he got started with the film project, Guillaume enthusiastically said that he wanted to shoot something with total creative control, so he wrote something that he could actually shoot himself. “I wanted to write something that’s nonlinear… and comes between reality and fantasy,” Guillaume added. He self-taught himself screenwriting and directing. From there, he wrote the script for “Devils in Disguise” with Magen Mattox in mind.
Prior to taking up acting at the William Esper Studio in New York, Guillaume studied engineering and earned a master’s degree. He later modeled and then decided to pursue acting. With that being said, Guillaume invites moviegoers to come see “Devils in Disguise.” The film will screen at the TCL Chinese Theaters + Imax in Hollywood at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 5th. “It’s going to be a great experience. Come see it,” said Guillaume.
