Dances With Films, the iconic Los Angeles based Film Festival announced their Narrative and Documentary Feature Film Competition programs for its 18th Festival edition. Dances With Films (DWF) showcase of emerging artists include 16 narrative features and 32 short films. The 48 competition films include a record 48 premieres – 28 World, 5 North American, 12 West Coast, 2 Southern California, and 1 US premieres. This years competition films include a short directed by “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” alumni Amber Benson and acclaimed casts including: Beau Garrett (“TRON: Legacy”), Lauren Potter (“Glee”), Mario Cantone (“Sex and the City”), Matt Groening (“The Simpsons”), and Penn Jillette (“Penn & Teller”), among others.

Dances With Films is proud to present the best of unknown filmmakers pushing the boundaries of filmmaking with innovation and unique talent. All competition films are selected from more than 2,000 film submissions annually, and were programmed entirely from blind submissions by the DWF filmmaking community based solely on their unique and powerful cinematic visions.

2015 marks continued expansive growth for DWF as they celebrate their 18th “fiercely independent” festival season and will be presented over 11 days, beginning with an opening night party on May 28th and culminating in the closing awards ceremony & after party on June 7th, all centrally located in the Hollywood & Highland complex. Weeks go by and the long days and sleepless nights begin to wear on him, and he becomes increasingly discouraged. But when his circumstances change for the better, he finds himself adapting to a new home, new friends and looking forward to a future that he hopes will last.
