2015 Louisiana Film Festival Review: Girl On The Edge Review

Girl On The Edge

Girl On The Edge

By:  Adrienne Vaught

Based on a true story “Girl On The Edge” is a film every parent and young adult MUST see! Filmmaker Jay Silverman recounts the very real story of the vulnerable young Hanna Green with unrestricted and unsupervised access to the dangerous world of social media. A parent’s worst nightmares come to life. We find the broken and beautiful girl played exquisitely by  Taylor Spreitler standing on a precipice. We walk with her on her journey of self discovery and healing at a unique ranch called “Maheo”. With an all star cast: Gil Bellows, Peter Coyote, Mackenzie Phillips and the late Elizabeth Peña. This film shows us to seek understanding, forgiveness and how to lay our burdens down by connecting to nature and one another.  “Girl On The Edge” premiered at the  2015 San Luis Obispo Film Festival. It was also part of the 2015 San Luis Obispo Film Festival official selection and will screen at the 2015 Louisiana Film Festival.
