A day after midterm elections and on the eve of the AFI film festival the activist group Anonymous descended upon Highland Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard around 1:00 p.m. with a Global Million Mask March. It was a group of more than 75 people. Many of the participants were protesting a vast array of social problems. The group said the march was one of more than five dozen planned across the country.
On the Anonymous website http://www.millionmaskmarch.com/ , Anonymous states
“ It is now being hailed The Most Influential Group in the World, Anonymous has caught the passionate attention of millions. With our annual Nov. 5th global event known as Million Mask March (in commemoration of Guy Fawkes Day), we have for the last two consecutive years organized “The Largest World Protest.”
Police was never far away and kept an eye on the protesters while keeping the peace. As the protests carried on the police arrived in full riot gear. As of for now no arrests have been made.
